So here I am once again, on blogger, with a brand new blog. I've already lost count of the number of times I created public blogs and deleting them after 2 weeks, because I am so used to the privacy I have on my locked livejournal. But oh well, here I am again and I'm gonna start my first public post. Here goes nothing....!

Yesterday saw my sisters and I on a full-day schedule to get lots of things done. First stop: ION Orchard! Planned to spend the $50 Capitamall voucher I received from my company's Christmas lunch lucky draw. $50 seemed like quite a lot when I received it but once I stepped into New Look? Totally different story.

Anyhoo, I obviously overspent that $50 and topped up some money to get my loots.

Went to my favourite Japanese restaurant - Ginza Bairin - for lunch! They don't sell sushi there though, which is a pity.

Nom nom nom. Mine & le younger sister's. Curry pork katsu is one of my favourite Japanese food. Hehehe >w<

Went to Daiso and got lotsa stuff which I am not going to reveal now. I am really excited to start on it hehehe. Pictures will be up once I am done with it^^ Anyway, we went to Books Actually after that. Was really excited because I've been meaning to visit the shop since forever. Didn't dare to go alone because I am an idiot in directions and Tiong Bahru/Yong Siak Street, is toooooo foreign to me. But with le elder sister's car and GPS, fret not, we are going to find it!!

Alas, we found it even though the not-very-trustworthy GPS screwed up. Needless to say, I was mesmerised by Yong Siak Street. I never knew Singapore still has such houses around! Those that I only see in dramas based on the 50's/60's? Nostalgic much. I don't know if they have an actual name for such houses but yeah, I like them a lot!!! Wouldn't mind living in one of them, especially since Books Actually is just a corner away. Not to mention those artsy fartsy shops there too. I think I am in love~~

Books Actually. I loved it, I loved it, I loved it!! There's nothing more I can say; I just love that place so much. Got a book I eyed on after reading a review. Still have 3 books on my desk waiting for me though, so this probably has got to wait. We actually planned to get Vintage Tea Party but it was out of stock. But that just means I will be paying another visit soon! Blessing in disguise, I guess?

Decided to give Socialhaus(hope I got the name right) a try after being attracted by the interior design. No food, just drinks. Alcoholic drinks to be exact, but it was too early for some alcohol so we got orange juice and sprite instead.......lol.

K, that sums up my yesterday. I haven't blogged like this in a very long while. I think it's so awkward TnT I'll get better!!! ..... I hope.

Pictures taken and edited by le younger sister, Charmaine, by the way. :)
