Happy Lunar New Year! 恭喜发财! Gong Hei Fat Choi! 새해 복 많이 받으세요!
Pardon my late greetings. Was too busy visiting relatives, and watching Sherlock & Downton Abbey. I'm done with Sherlock and I really hope season 3 comes out soon. As for Downton Abbey, I finished the first season just yesterday. Absolutely in love with the dresses that Lady Mary wears!
CNY, in my memory, used to be fun-filled. Visiting was the best part of it all because it meant meeting up with my cousins. We would play catching, bomb bags, or play at the playground. Angbaos? What were angbaos? Those were chucked in my mother's bag and forgotten. Each goodbye at the different houses were relunctant, and I always looked forward to the next day of visiting.
As I grew older, the playing stopped and so did the talking. I forgot how it happened, but CNY is now a season for comparison. Small talks were no longer about what we did when we were younger, but on how well we fared in school. Did you do well for O levels? How many 'A's have you got? What school are you in now? Are you planning to take a degree? Unfortunately, my relatives are kind of elitist, and me being a dumb ass, have been a laughing stock for years. I didn't do well for PSLE, didn't go to a JC, and am not planning to take a degree anytime soon. It's amusing how these adults degrade polytechnics because they have never attended one. I guess the amount of salt (it's a chinese idiom) they ate can provide them with experiences of things they haven't done. Enough of the rants. Don't want the post to be too wordy.
My family doesn't go to any house for the reunion dinner because my grandparents from both side had passed away. We either have steamboat dinner at home, or we have dinner at a restaurant.
Most photos taken by Charmaine.
It was at Resort World's Singapore Seafood Republic this year!

4th day was spent quietly at home. 5th day was yesterday, which was also the day I had to go back to work. Had lunch at Raffles Town Club, kindly provided by the Company. This might be the best company for intern, seriously. Heh.
Went to visit my auntie just now. My first time at her new crib, and also the first time I met her lovely Milo!
I LOVE DOGS, if you haven't realised. And I love how some dogs lie on my legs. My dog will never do that. Also, for future toy poodle owners, please stop naming your furball as Milo. Hahahaha.
