Day 2 명동(Myeongdong) & 삼청동(Samchungdong)

Forgot to talk about the transport in my previous post. Singapore has the ez-link card (basically you put money in the card, and use it to take buses and trains, or even to pay cab fares), and South Korea has the t-money. While Singapore only has card designs for the ez-link card, t-money has various designs - cards, and handphone accessory. Unfortunately, I don't have a picture of my t-money, but it is a small rectangle-shaped handphone accessory with hello kitty design on it. Got it from a street stall last year. I hang it on my wallet for convenience sake. Afterall, I am used to taking out my wallet to scan my ez-link card in Singapore!
The t-money top-up machine in Seoul has english so don't worry about not understanding the korean words on it :3 Oh yes, when you buy your t-money, be sure to check if it is for adult or children!

As mentioned in the title, my second day in Seoul was spent in Myeongdong and Samchungdong~

Yes, I was at FUBU one week before TOP was there!! /stabs self/ Talk about bad luck, lol. If you are a hardcore shopper, I would recommend to spend 1 day in Myeongdong. I've been there twice (last year, and this year) but I have not once combed the entire area despite spending more than half a day there. We actually spent half a day just buying cosmetics, can you believe it? Never got around to looking at other stuff because our hands were so full of shopping bags, it was impossible to browse anything. I kid you not.
Cosmetics wise, you can get almost all the local brands there just by walking down the street. Natural Republic, Etude House, Tony Moly, Holika Holika, Missha, Laneige. Best part? You get all those products there at close to half the price in Singapore. I'd also recommend this brand that is not in Singapore - Banila Co! Slightly more pricey compared to the other brands though. But they have cute packagings!! I adore their pencil eyeliner.

Highly recommend this restaurant located at Myeongdong! The name is 유가(Yoo Ga) if I am not mistaken. Good food, affordable price. You order the food, and the waiter/waitress will cook it for you.

After lots of shopping - which resulted in no photos taken - we headed back to our hotel via the hotel shuttle bus. Rested for awhile before setting off for 삼청동 (Samchungdong).

Am sorry to say, this is the only photo I have of Samchungdong, but Charmaine had taken some footages of the place. She actually did up a video with the photos and videos she took throughout the trip, and I'll link it up after I finish blogging about the entire trip!
But anyway, I found out about this place through Eat Your Kimchi, so here's the video if you are interested - x

Our original plan was to head to 동대문(Dongdaemun) after dinner at Samchungdong but my mom was tired, so we went back to the hotel early. Which was a bad idea..... I'll talk about it in the next post!
